Well, it's September, folks, and the SIC gang here in North Carolina have been busy preparing ourselves to traverse the annual Hopscotch Music Festival, which amazingly, is now in it's fourth year of existence! We've been consecutively staying up 30 minutes later each week for a month now, to get our bodies used to the shock of those final set times that stretch into the wee hours of the morning, and drinking absinthe and other hard beverages so our liver won't fail us midway through that 12th PBR.
We've also been feverishly studying this year's lineup to best guide you through the plethora of bands making up the schedule this year -- and we can honestly say, we are completely fucking stoked. Not only do we get a few legendary favs like Spiritualized and The Breeders, but we've also learned a ton about some of the up-and-coming bands that the festival is truly all about.
Check out our officially endorsed track below -- and feel free to tell us where we're going to be missing something special as currently laid out.
Enjoy!

Jam of the Day | Big Black Delta - Money Rain Down
Jonathan Bates, or Big Black Delta if you're addressing him onstage, is no newbie to the electro-pop-music-biz. If that term were to actually exist, you'd see that he has experience, either directly or indirectly, with some pretty major electro-pop-music-biz players of the last 10 years, like M83, Secret Machines and The Killers.
As Big Black Delta, he's now set to blow up all individual-like, and he's got the jamz to prove it. One listen to our Jam of the Day, "Money Rain Down," and see that he's taken his experiences and turned them directly into influences. Catchy, poppy, and funky as shit, with it's synthesized saxes, it's a song that you could either nod your head to, or quite possibly freak the fuck out during, depending on your current level of inebriation.
We'll be checking him out when he plays The Hopscotch Music Festival in just a few weekends now. We'll bring our dancing shoes.
