If I could imagine a scenario for a minute: Caroline Rose and I are sipping whiskey, we're outside, and it's maybe 20 degrees. We're going on a walk, but the destination is unclear, and that's okay: "Blood on Your Bootheels" is blasting somewhere from the sky, so we just think about today's Jam of the Day, which was written as a reaction to Trayvon Martin, his pack of Skittles, his death. We keep walking.

I don't know how old Caroline Rose is; I suppose I could find out, but that's really not the point. Or, maybe I just don't want to know.

Because I already know this: she sings like she's battle-tested, proudly showing you her scars, confident around every corner of life. She sounds wise beyond her years, and I like that.
