10 to Spin | Cadillac Sky

It's been a fine year for the boys in Cadillac Sky. They've been getting significant airplay on radio stations around the country, they have a video in regular rotation on CMT, and they've toured with those Mumford & Sons extensively.

Maybe even more importantly that all that other fluffy crap, they earned not one but two Jam of the Day selections from us last year.  Now that is truly amazing, people. I mean, the only thing left is a Grammy, but you know, Bieber has all of those wrapped up already.

Busy schedules aside, they sat down for us recently to compile a 10 to Spin list of stuff they're listing to this winter. Apparently, David and Levi like to share headphones. Band love is so sweet.

David Mayfield
Gordon Lightfoot - "Song for a Winter's Night"

Darrell Scott - "Long Wide Open Road"

Darrell Scott Joins Robert Plant's Band of Joy

You gotta love these supergroups, or at least the idea of them.

Robert Plant has joined the fun and re-formed Band of Joy, which will feature Darrell Scott, Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller, Byron House and Marco Giovino. Better yet, they're hitting the road this summer (see dates below), and an album featuring this line-up will be released later this year on Rounder Records.

Scott's A Crooked Road, a two disc set and his eighth solo album, will be released on May 25, and features 20 originally written tracks. This follows his critically acclaimed 2008 release Modern Hymns.
