Well, some high school kids just proved to the world that the spirit of rock n' roll is still alive & kicking, and when done right, can be just as goddamn present as the moment you first saw Pete Townshend helicopter his guitar or Axl Rose shimmy his leather-panted-ass across the a stage. 

It's been declared dead 400,000,000 times, and hell, even I feel similar pangs of worry when I tune into the local "rock" radio station to find Kings of Leon playing the guitar-rock equivalent of Miley Cyrus' less involved anthems.

But just give the spirit of rock n' roll a little time, and it will birth a new baby that will grow up seemingly being groomed to break out via a performance like this.
